It was my job to check the C of A to ensure it met the internal specification. I entered all physical testing results into the StarLims data base.  When Chemical and Micro testing was completed, if everything is passing I released the material.  If there is anything out of spec, I would notify the appropriate department and then write a Quality Deviation Report and send it out to the departments so they could decide what action to take. 

I contacted Suppliers to obtain missing Certificates of Analysis and other missing information.  I was the point person with planning, purchasing, the analytical lab and receiving to coordinate rush items so that they were received in, sampled and all testing completed according to the needs of the company.  I reported any time delays to the departments as needed.

I also was instrumental in helping to start up the NIR program using both a Perkin Elmer bench top machine and a Thermo Scientific handheld MicroPhazir.  The handheld NIR machine that I researched and brought online has saved the company 3 hours a week in man hours plus $20.00 a month in supplies.

Responsible for the following tasks for all incoming raw materials and the required test parameters.

Complete physicals as follows.

Perform Moisture balance (Halogen method)

Test Particle size distribution (Rotap method)

Run Viscosity (Brookfield DV-E Viscometer)

Implemented an NIR program using both Perkin Elmer bench top equipment as well as Thermo Scientific handheld MicroPhazir

Compare C of A data to approved specification document

Report all required results in StarLims database

Report pass/fail results and final disposition (release/reject)

Notify appropriate departments of deviations

Process Quality Deviation Reports when required

Requests CAPA (Corrective Action/Preventive Action)

 I weighed up chemicals, reagents and dies for labs and hospitals to use to test blood and other body fluids.

 I opened check orders and sorted them per bank.  Then I would prep the orders and correct any mistakes.  They were then bundled for processing per type and amount of checks ordered and sent to the next station.   I also did data entry and 10 key to enter the orders.
